Courier in Indian Air Force

I was carrying a TWT to BEL Bangalore, followed by some Technical discussions. I was working on TWT and considered to be very knowledgeable (sure forgotten in a day as i left the Unit) i was detailed . In morning i was in section at 7AM and my O ic suggested to take a courier which was at 9 AM. from Agra to Bangalore. I liked the idea of half day travel to Bangalore and meet many ex Entry mates (Sgt GR etc) and Unit mates(Sgt Jagadeesh etc).
Rushed to home to pack a suitcase (VIP obviously) and in to the kite(AN-32 obviously) at 9.25 AM. It took off and landed in Palam at around 10:30and then in Kanpur at 1300hrs for Lunch. I met RAVI T Eng ex Unit-mate, and then in Allahabad at 16:30 for a night halt. Then I learned what is courier means.
At night in a Candle light dinner (Power was out) at SNCOs' mess with Flt Engineer informed that we shall be in Bangalore by next afternoon with one Touchdown at Tambaram.
Next morning at 6:30 we took off and landed in Agra ( surprised see landing base)to get a spare for a struck AN32 at Tambaram. And pilot did a routine mistake. He did reported a small snag on ADF, without checking who was on duty Rdo Fit. The Scientist Radio guy opened all possible panels for ADF, and few more which are not concerned making the flight impossible at lest for that day.
We did get other AN32 by afternoon 3:30 and could land in Begumpet at 19:00 hrs, and had had to take a night halt. I met a old unit mate Sgt Anganeyulu (Eqpt) on duty for courier aircraft. He is kind to drop me to near by auto stand. I could go to my bro's home that night had a decent food and sleep. Next Morning at 8:30 we took off and was in Tambaram before noon. Then i found some new thing, that the An-32 going to have a night halt at Sulur.
Luckily Carnic courier landed to head the Bangalore, pilot heard my long story and kind to allow me and dropped me in Bangalore by 1600hrs. Then i could meet my Friends with a shabby uniform (not my friends but me).
Morel of the Story: never try lift in Service aircraft if you are on leave, and need to go urgently. Service aircraft is for service purpose.
